still no fix
I have a 94 firebird with the lt1 350 and after hot cam install still pinging under load, idles eractly, surging up and downin rpm's unhooked mass air flow and idle is alot smoother, throwing no codes, readjusted valves, checked all wires and plugs, also still cranking weird like timing to high, it cranks slow, checked fuel pressure and it's good. Anybody have a clue please let me know before I have to burn it!!

I ran my friends Hotcam LS1 M6 with pretty much the same stuff that mine has(Int/Exh, etc..), we went from 0-100, both of us with Drag Radials on and both of us got a shitty launch. We both took off at the same time, he pulled me by 3 carlenghts the whole race. That was a good Hot Cam vs. Hot Cam race.

i have installed an opti on my 94 (spline type) they can go in wrong. my car ran like crap with it in the wrong position. the best way to install the opti correctly is to take a paint pen and mark the splines on top as they are installed correctly in the block. then put the splines into the opti and position the painted line to the top. that is how i indexed the opti correctly.
to reiterate you can install the opti and it isnt hard to do at all it happens with very little pressure
