generally it is the driver's floor board banging, and it is usually from a larger y-pipe, you could have an exhaust shop install a hanger there to stop all the banging and movement

I just installed my kooks headers and I had some bangging thought it was the Y-Pipe, but I noticed that the engine torques to the left (if you are looking down at it from in front of the car) anyway I had it up on ramps and took a peak underneath and noticed a rub spot on the first tube on the drivers side header, It was hitting part of the k- member, took a saws-all and cut a small factory weld that was sticking out, after that no problems...

I had a custom 3in y-pipe done and pace lt's. At first I didn't hear anything, then after a lil while the banging showed up. So i went to the garage and installed the anti banging hanger that the ws6-store sells and it cured the banging, looks cleaner then having stuff wrapped around the pipe IMHO. Don't wanna start anything.
