Default Cog setup on the street???

Is this doable at all? I dont daily drive the car but i do drive to the track and go to a lot of GTG's (2 a week maybe when the weather is good). Those belts are kinda expensive to be replacing all the time ... If not what else? 12 rib? Who sells a setup that will work for me??? This will be a F1R setup by the way...

I don't know of any cog systems by anyone that are available for the LS1 F Body's. I also haven't seen anyone convert one to a 12 rib. There isn't much room under there... Bob

Anything can be done with some custom fab work.

Andrew used to drive his car with a cog belt setup Josh.

I know speed inc had a cog set up on there D1 way back in 02 or so......I have seen a few guys try to run them on the street and they would rip through belts and they are not cheap. So to answer your question no I have never seen a street car do so with great success

I looked into their cog system (nice - it has a clutch). But it's 3" wide! My 8 rib is jut over 1" and it's a tight fit. So while I want one, I'm not going to cut/move/weld the radiator support forward 2" to make it happen. There is probably room for a 12 rib, but nobody makes a kit.
