How to dial in timing?
I am using Ls1-Edit, and have Knock retard showing at WOT.
How do I dial in my WOT timing to get rid of the knock through the use of tuning?
Thanks in advance.

First thing, what are your mods?
Smooth out the timing tables first, I had a thread yesterday about smoothing the timing table. read this https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/690175-timing-table-looks-like-shit.html
Before you make the assumption that it is surely a timing issue I would ensure that everything else in ok such as plugs, wires, and fueling. How does your AFR look at WOT as well?
How much KR are you getting anyway? One way you could do it is to bump down the entire table by 1 degree at a time, but if the table is stock than there should be no need to decrease timing.

All I have is a K&N fipk, new plugs and wires.
I'm just trying to tune for performance and driveability right now.
I do not have any dyno time or a wideband yet, and have been solely tuning with fuel trims using injector flow and Maf tables.
I have a few scans and excel sheets I can send you. that I got with LS1-Scan.
Thanks for your help.

Do not tune using IFR that is the wrong way to tune. Tune LTFT's via VE and MAF only. The IFR should refect your fuel injectors, tuning with IFR is some half *** ****.
A stock car should be 100% drivable already.

When I put the stock tune in I run VERY VERY rich, lots of black smoke in idle.
With upping the injectors a bit and and leaning out the maf table everything under WOT is great.
***I also forgot to mention that I have an 85MM Maf sensor too.***

I put the stock maf and tune in as well and it still runs rich, I wouldnt be here asking about timing if I hadn't already tried to revert back to stock.
I can send any of you my excel scans and LS1-Edit pcm tune just let me know.

Which aftermarket MAF? If you are going to keep MAF operation don't chuck that sucker just yet. You can remove the "Xtra" component that will be painfully obvious and still rescale the MAF's cal. But unfortuneatly, only with a WB02. For ~200 bucks you will have an invaluable "flashlight."

I have the granatelli 85mm Maf sensor screened. My idle and part throttle are great, I am going to get a Wideband, I just havent got to that yet.
I really dont have any real mods on the car yet so havent yet put out the dough.
