opinions on tsp torquer v2. to big for a dd???
ive really been looking into getting a tsp torquer v2 but to me it seems like it might be a little big for a daily driver, and i was wondering how the 918 spring will handle the lift .595/.598

Don't assume everybody knows the size of the V2. Please give the duration, LSA and advance and you might get more answers.

Or smaller...thats what I'm gonna do.
These type of questons always end the same way. It is an opinion and everyone has a different one. I don't like the bucking, so I am going smaller, but some don't car or ever drive where you would notice.
Also I think the 918's are fine but LS2 Bait does not

918s will be fine with that lift. They were indeed orginally rated higher until Comp came out with the 921s.
A dual spring offers a little peace of mind, but 918s are a darn good spring.

i agree with Dr.Jeckel, everyone is going to have a different opinion on what is "drivable" on a daily basis. i used to have a F14, same duration, lift and daily drove that for about 1.5 years. aside from a couple issues that might have been cured with more tuning, the car still bucked at low rpm 2/3 gear, (stock 3.42 rear) which bothered me. i now recommend people go with a smaller cam on a truely daily driven car b/c i have dealt with the issues from bigger cams. i know a T2, F14 isnt considered a big cam anymore b/c of the giants that are out, but its still a pretty big cam for a 346. i'd recommend you look at smaller cams, but that is just my personal opinion.

i have the torquer V1 cam...(233/233 .589" 112 lobe) and drive it around town.
i even have an aluminum flywheel and a SPEC 4 clutch (solid disc) and it's still manageable.
with a more forgiving clutch...it would be no problem in heavy traffic.
and my tune isn't even that great.

its all in the combination if it can be driven as a DD. I did with mine for a year and a half, with only minor problems. I am using the 918's and they are working fine. The 918's were rated at .625 when they first came out, and was told by more than one sponsor that the 918 was just fine for the T2.
If I was going to put a cam in again I would either go with a much larger cam, or a smaller one and build around it for a much better street car.

I have the MS3 in my auto and the MS4 in my M6 and both of them are DD's, but like said before it is all up to what feels good to you on the street, and 918's would be fine with that lift
