Default Moroso Cold Air Intake

Does anyone have the Moroso cold air intake on their LT1 with a vortech or trick flow elbow? I'm trying to install mine and to get everything hooked up with the MAF sensor looks like I have to cut about 1-2" off the end of the Moroso to get everything installed? Has anybody done this as well?
I hope its normal.

I have the moroso CAI and the elbow that looks like the factory one - but doesn't have the donky dong on the bottom...it all fits like a glove - no issues.

I ordered it from the WS6 and they knew I had a 1995. Didn't know they made two sizes? I'll check but its to late I already took about 1.5" off the end to get everything hooked up right.

Just checked and I ordered the 94-97 Moroso kit. I must be doing something wrong unless my Vortech elbow is alittle longer than stock? I'll try again after work.

Do what you have to do to make it work. It's not a big deal

Yes, I had to trim mine when I put a Trick Flow elbow on. With the stock elbow mine fit fine, so I had the correct one for 94+

I have the same set up u have. i had the exact same problem. all i did was turn the mass air flow sensor so the connector is on the side and plugged it up and now the hood closes with out a little bulge sticking into it. just turn it to the side and it works fine. never looked back since installing it.
