Default Htown inspection question/help

My computer is throwing an 0704 code for clutch circuit failure. I have no idea whats causing it, nitrous window switch, clutch switch or whatever but i have been told they will not pass the car because the SES light is on even though i know there are no other codes being thrown.

If i reset the PCM right before i go into inspect the car will they pass it or can they tell that there is still a fault in the system and still fail the car? Does any one know? I'd rather not find out the hard way?

thanks guys
