Usually you'll spend a good bit more on a cam swap, but you're rebuilding the engine anyway, right? So that takes care of the extras since those things will be replaced anyway.

Futral makes some killer drivable cams.

Guess you don't want the new motor to be "new" for very long huh?

I would suggest the 228R that would be a good all around cam, great for the street and give decent HP.

well partick and preditor can help you with the numbers b/c i am not to good on givin advice with that but a stall is a must on a cam. the stall will depend on what type of cam. look to see where the power band starts with the cam and make your stall selection based on that. also with a cam what kind of power are you looking for?

i just talked to comp cams they reconmended these two cams part num 54-414-11 and 54-416-11 with there springs and push rods. Are these a decent cam with my set up, they say i can run my stock stall and be fine with it since its my dd? the whole set up is around 800 for push rods cam springs and retainers

its gonna be hard to see 400rwhp with a small cam and no heads. i dont think it can be done since its an auto too. get ur self a nice h/c combo and youll see over 400. with a stall go with a yank ss3200. it will be fine on the streets and will show some good times with a small h/c combo. call texas speed and see what they can do about ur requests
