Of course most of us know harlan was making a crap ton of power on a stock crank.....
I guess im wondering the life of it....

Mike Brown probably has the most runs on a stock crank of anyone in the mid to low 8's. I wonder how his cranks have held up. I think the cranks held up, and the blocks were a little tired.

Thats probably the only strong part of the whole engine. Everything else seems to break.

So if a stock crank will handle around 900hp what is the weakest link in the stock shortblock of the LSX? The rods or the wrist pins, and how much will a stock bottom end handle with nothing done, not even rod bolts?

Kyle, you're ****'s going to fall apart in a freak dyno accident when it decides to suck the roof of the building down on you.

Spend your money else where, like on a nitrous kit for your truck or the CO2 sprayer for your intercooler Errr, wait. Just a nitrous kit for the truck.

Brown went like mid 8's with the LS2 block and a stock crank if I recall... He has a huge number of passes on that engine. The block was more tired than the crank I think.

Kyle I have a 3.622 stock stroke forged Callies crank NIB, interested?

I'd like to know who has actually broken a crank? I think to even distort one you would need some amazingly strong rods, far better than any aftermarket off the shelf piece...

I think Matt Harlen ran 8.2 in his HAWK with stock crank?

I could be wrong.

Speed inc took their shop car with the 370 (6.0 iron block) to 1001 RWHP and 8.80s or 8.90s?

I don't know if anyone makes stout enough other parts to break a factory crank. It has to have limits, but so far they seem to be higher than any of the other parts.
