Default What 10" sub for a side box?

I'm going to make my own side box out of 3/4" MDF, the internal volume should be around .50 to .65 cubic feet (similar to a subthump box).

Could you please recommend me some 10" subs for that box? Knowing that:

1/ My amp is a 5-channel Audison LRX5.600, I'm gonna use its 5th channel (which gives out 180W RMS) for the sub.

2/ I listen mostly to trance and house.

3/ I'm into sound quality, not loudness.

4/ I want something which is gonna match the sound quality of my amp.

I'd go for an IDQ10.

I'm with 95bat 100% on this one -- Image Dynamics makes awesome stuff -- and with the power you wish to use, the size of the box (actually some of them only want a box as large as .6 so you wouldn't have to be perfectly precise in using every sq. inch of space back there), and your demand for SQ -- it's definitely one of your best choices.

I can't find anyone selling Image Dynamics stuff here in Europe . However most better known makes are available, so would you have any other suggestions? (here I can get MTX, Focal, Emphaser, Infinity, JL Audio, JBL, Alpine, DLS, VDO, Hertz, Helix, Pioneer, etc.)

I mean I could import the IDQ10 from the States but it's gonna cost me twice as much with the transport and customs tax, so I'd rather find a make that is distributed over here.

From that list I'd pick Focal, JL, DLS, and Hertz.

I've read that Hertz subs are awesome, but rare in the US so I havn't heard one myself DLS also makes very nice audio equipment. Let me do some researrch and get back to you

95bat: thanks, I really appreciate! Please note that my amp is a 5-channel Audison LRX5.600. Its subwoofer channel (5th channel) produces 180W RMS at 4ohms and 240W RMS at 2ohms. I just want to make sure I don't get a sub that demands more power than my amp can produce

Looks like these will work:
Hertz HX250D
DLS Reference RW10
Focal 25 A1
Polyglass V1 or V2
JL 10W3v3
JL 10W6v2

Which one to buy from there I really couldn't tell you. I have no idea what you want to spend on a subwoofer or even what these cost over seas. If that doesn't matter, I'd go with the Hertz, JL, or DLS.

Thanks my friend, you've really helped me a lot. I'm currently looking up their specs and calling dealers for prices. The only thing I'm a bit worried with some of these subs is that they may be too powerful for my Audison LRX5.600 amp which gives out (on its subwoofer channel) just 180W RMS at 4ohms and 240W at 2ohms. Like for instance surely it would be a bit weak to power the Hertz HX250D which is a 450W RMS sub (dual coil 2 x 4 ohms). On the other hand, the DLS RW10 is only 250W RMS at 2ohms, so that would do-able, right? What's your opinion on this?...

The same thing happened to me... the site has been acting funny lately (since they changed the LS1Tech logo)... also, search doesn't work well for me.
