Could someone tell me if it would be advantagous to put one on my 2002 since GM changed up the EGR system & the PC VALVE system on the later models.

Dont need one unless you're getting oil in your intake.

The EGR system doesn't have anything to do with it - other than making for a nice spot to mount it when you don't have EGR - and the newer PCV system really isn't much more effective than the old. So the only issue is as stated above.

Some people have needed to use them because of excess oil in their intake manifold..while others like myself have not needed to use one as I have not had a oil in the intake problem to cure..I use the LS6 valley cover and PCV valve and a breather in the valve cover and this system has worked very well for me.
