Default BS3 or Electromotive............................

Fuel Management.

Before I buy, which one is better and why? (that rhymed)

For this:

LSX iron blocked 454ci
sheet metal
ETP CV heads (yes, I decided to go with these bad boys )
Cam: I'm sick of worrying about it, my builder and Cary can figure it out for me)
300 progressive DP shot
4L80E
1 7/8" stepped to 2" LT's
(thats probably all ya need to know about the set-up)

Also, and this may be a newb question. But do these two systems take the place of the PCM or do I keep the PCM to run everything else in the car? I already know I need to upgrade to a '99 or newer PCM, but since I'm using one of these, whats the deal?

Do these management systems also take the place of the PCM?

BS3 somes complete with it's own wiring harness and ECM, none of your stock harness or ECM will be left on the car. I am unfamiliar with the E-motive stuff.

I am going the BS3 route because there seems to be more people running it, which means there are more people to help my stupid *** tune it.

Yeah, NRE uses the Electromotive on all his big hp TT set-ups. I just spoke to someone that said the Electromotive is a great unit for those set-ups, but for the N/A + spray 454ci to go with the BS3.
Still researching and learning about them. I need someone in Florida that can do my tune after my engine goes in, with the BS3. Or I'll fly someone from wherever they are here to tune it.

Accel DFI gen7,BS3,Speed-pro Seflo8, Fast, Fast XFI all basically tune the same. where the specific knowledge comes in is how to configure and use each systems specific features.
