Running 11's now
Last night I finally hit 11's at Maple Grove. My best run of the night was an 11.803@118.24. I had a 1.701 60' so hopefully if I can get that a tad bit better I should be seeing an 11.7 next weekend. Mods are in sig. I ditched the 18" drag radials and put a set of Mickey Thompson ET Streets on. Those made a big difference over the radials. I got to play around more with them and see what works best with those tires. 1st run I had them a tad high and it spun some of the line but it still managed a 1.787 60'.

I'm running LG's G5x4cam with bone stock heads. The only thing not stock on the heads is the vavle springs for obvious reasons, but other than that I never had them milled. That cam seems to pull pretty decent up top.

Went to the track last Friday and heres' 3 new runs I got in.I ran 4 times but the 4th was a disaster more or less. The 4th run requires me to get the 1/4panel and frame fixed now due to getting out of the groove. At least the guys at the track said I got out of the groove, it happend so fast I couldn't tell you exactly why the car just darted off to the other lane.

Yeah it just suddenly let loose , I was in the right lane. I ended up weaving in and out of both lanes and just smacked the back of the quarter panel on the drivers side. The other car I raced was slow ,so by the time this happend I already had a half track lead on him. If the track would've been about 2 feet or so wider the car would be fine. As for the tire size , I'm running 28/11.50/16's.

Yeah, I have no clue. Others thought maybe the same thing. Suspension looks all good. I don't know if maybe the left rear tire grew enough and caught the bumper cover. I see a slight line in that tire but haven't determined the actual cause yet. The rear seems to feel like it binds up a little only when you pull out and are turning. Once straight though it feels great. I don't know if a slightly bent frame rail on the drivers side is causing that or not. I'll find out once it gets straightend. Then if it's still there I'll pull the cover off and look into things deeper. I'm just happy I didn't hit the wall head on. It was looking like that was gonna be the case that night but managed to steer away. My Sunoco hood arrived 4 days later. Knowing my luck I would've went head first into the wall if that was on the car.
