question is a bit general. How much power are you planning. Buddy just put in spec 3 and it seems to be working good for him. Pretty streetable, fairly high pedal pressure, he has only around 420 or so engine hp right now. He has 1000 miles on it. Another buddy has 500 hp and a spec 3 with lots of miles. He likes his too.
I went overkill on a twin disc textralia and not really likeing it that much and hoping it breaks in more. Otherwise it might be coming out or changing discs in it or something.
The standard tex is supposed to be a great clutch..0z700 with x disc for more street and z pad for more race orientation. I likley should have went with that. And if you aren't tracking the car the ls7 clutch seems to be fine.
3 plus does sound like it might have even less pedal pressure than the 3 and is rated higher it might be a real winner.

How much power are you looking to produce? The 3+ is rough during break in for around 1000 miles but the more you drive it the easier it gets. It may be overkill though for ya. If you are staying under 500HP an LS7 may be the best bet for easiness of driving although my 3+ drives pretty damn good for the power it can hold.

Well eventually im gonna do heads, cam, intake and possibly a 383 stroker conversion. But that will all take a long while to do and it will likely stay like it is with the exception of changing the muffler and adding a few other bolt on's. Also will an LS7 clutch disk and pressure plate bolt up to a SPEC billet flywheel, or will it only work with the LS2 flywheel??

The SPEC 3+ is a full faced disk correct. And also how tolerant is it to being slipped. And when i say slippeed i mean just enough to get going from a stop, not like a 5th gear start revving it to the sky just to say you did it. And is anyone running the lightweight option? Thanks

So all in all the stage 3+ has the possibility of being a little overkill for my current setup?

Man I wish I could let you guys drive my car just once to feel how easy this 3+ clutch really is to drive. For the amount of power this clutch can hold it sure drives awesome. Most clutches that can withstand 800 ft-lbs do not drive this nice.
