I'm selling my v6 right now and buying a regular stock 00 trans am. Me and my cousin can't agree on this. I'm sure you guys are asked this a lot. A regular T/a M4 vs a WS6..both 2000-02.. performance wise the ws6 has suspension and better gears right? Will the gears in the ws6 have a big impact on the outcome of the race? If yes could u give the car lengths from say 30-80? Sorry i'm still trying to learn about these cars. Thanks in advanced!

Same as a Z28 racing an SS....stock for stock and all things being equal, it's a drivers race.

If they are 6-speeds, they'll have the same gears: 3.42's
If they are autos, the WS6 will have 3.23's, the TA could have 2.73's or 3.23's.
I would venture to guess that the suspension is the same or similar, but someone else verify that please.

both being stock does the ws6 have more hp? or tq? wow what do these gears do that stock ones don't?

Not a big difference just get the sleek beak unless you want the ws6 for collectors purposes

by the build sheet it has 10/15 more hp/tq.....suspension is whats really nice, the gears are not really a factor

and there is no such thing in our cars as a "m4".....if you have the chance get an 01-02 ws6

Power difference is not noticable, its just a raised air lid and slightly better exhaust.
Look up gear ratio's on howstuffworks.com if you dont understand what the purpose of gears are.
Like already stated, the WS6 has better suspension (supposedly better shocks, and bigger sway bars) and a lighter hood.
