what should it be at normally? i got in 2day and it was over 70 and i know thats not right. was a lil low on oil, but still seems high to me. idling im just under 60.

Mine runs about 40-45psi when driving w/ engine hot, about 30psi at hot idle, and about 55-60psi when cold.

It seems little high to me. My car idles at 40psi when hot and when normal driving around 50-55 and when over 4500rpm, goes anywhere between 60-70, higher rpm's, higher oil pressure. Check your oil, good luck, I hope this helps!

wow wat the hell i thought the ls1 oil pressure is normal when its high mine runs around VERY close to 80 psi when im cold but i drive very very slow when its close to that high but then when it gets hot i run around 45 to 50 at idle im not to sure if this is normal since my car has 77K and i use mobile 1 5w30

I think it is normal I know when I first change my oil its at about 45-50 when idling and 80 at WOT but when it's getting closer to the next change I'm down to 30-40 at idle and 70 at WOT, she likes to eat about a 1/2 quart to quart of oil between changes, seems a lot of LS1's do the same

well actually yesterday my car was running operating temprature and then i shut the car off for about 2 hours then when i started back up the engine was still warm but not normal temp so i let it warm up then i was coming down the canyans to get home and i was in 4th gear about 2,500rpm cruising down the road untill i noticed my oil pressure past 80 which scared me and then i just put the car in neutral untill i got to the streets but that high of an oil pressure gets me a bit worried, i could blow a seal or something else can I? but i also have a catch can to be on the safe side as well i know i dont get to much oil in there so thats good. but im not to sure if i should be worried bout my high oil pressure!
