Default painted headers.. are they really THAT bad and will they last me here in NY??

my friend just sold his Z28... and basically he would give me his pacesetter headers... never installed.. but they are non coated... he wants 100$ for both... he knows im in the market for headers right now... now thats a hell of a deal... just out of curiosity... i live in NY and my car is exposed to all the elements as a DD.. rain/snow/sleet... everything... how long will those headers last??.. im probably only going to have my car for another year or two.. i have to sell it when i go away to school... will they last me 2 years?

You could always send them out, possibly back to pacesetter to get coated. I just put the coated ones in my car, and they look great.

for that kind of deal and your future plans, you'd be stupid not to get them.

Default ya i figured that...

i kind of beat you to it haha... picked em' up this mourning... even better we made a trade... i gave him my old scratched up sidekick II that i never used (service sucked)... and got the headers clean and clear. Granted he's one of my best friends that i grew up with... he wasn't looking to make a profit or anything on me... just had no use for them and over here in nassau county NY LS1's are extremely rare.. the chances of him finding a buyer for 250 was slim to none. O well his lost is my gain. later

I'm using the TSP catted-y. Works great and bolts right up to pacesetters.
