Re: billet grill with the SS in the middle?
Here are a couple pics of mine. I used the Stull polished billet grill and the current "SS" emblems to match the rest of the car as I personally don't care for the old emblems on a new car. The pics are in from this past weekend in front of Berger Chevrolet too!

Re: billet grill with the SS in the middle?
Thanks fot the compliment! I have been working hard getting ready for the Hot Rod Power Tour starting next week. I'm shooting for a clean look where several mods are subtle and somewhat understated, but still catch your "eye" as they all kind of compliment each other. I like the car to draw you in for a closer look, even if you are not sure what caught your attention in the first place, rather than jump out at you with a bunch of yellow painted pieces that scream "Look At Me!"
I just installed the stripes on Sat night right before the special ZL-1 delivery at Berger Chevy on Sunday. They are custom made using a high metallic GunMetal Grey color as I want them subtle on my black car. So far I'm the first one to have GunMetal on a black car in the anniversary style and I am very happy with the way it turned out. With the new stripes your eye is now drawn to the GunMetal painted hood scoop grill that just seemed to get lost before.
I haven't really posted any pics of it yet with the stripes as I want to get my wheels on first.

Re: billet grill with the SS in the middle?
NVMySS,
The Grille is a Stull polished Billet unit which I got for about $95 from a non sponsor. It is the same one that is used on the Berger,Hot Rod and ZL-1 Camaros, except they are black. I really like the polished one on my black car as the black would just get lost IMO.
Install is a piece of cake with only 4 screws (and of course holes) to contend with.
The SS is the actual GM black with silver outline found on the side of our SS cars. Unless you have the black with red outlined emblems. It is attached over a '67 "SS" grill emblem to give it the chrome/black surround and backing plate.
The corners are the '93-'97 APC clear lenses which are textured just like the stock ones, only clear. I personally don't care for the crystal clear lenses as you can see the yellow bulb in them when they are off and any condensation that may form inside the lenses. I got them from another non sponsor for around $35.

Here's mine:
Black Stull billet grille from Afterthoughts Auto, and a 69 SS badge from National Parts Depot. You can get it from Classic Industries as well.

Re: billet grill with the SS in the middle?
To SSLS1: If I wasnt to buy a '69 SS emblem, would the plastic decal still be able to be mounted to the grill? If so, how? How much does one of those '69 SS emblems cost and where can I get one? I didnt notice that it had that emblem in the back of it, is there any way that you could post a closer pic of it? How did you mount the '69 SS emblem on the grill? Thanks
