Single in/single out???
Anybody out there ever try and/or run a 3" single in/single out flow instead of a crossover muffler????
'02 SS w/ LT's, hooker Y-pipe, 3" main pipe to crossover flow, no cats
I don't like the "popping" sound the exhaust puts out in the 2300-2600 rpm range. Seems like I hear a lot of F-bodies that do this. I have a '00 sierra with a single in/single out and it sounds fine, but its prety much stock, the SS had a cam/head/tune setup so I really would not like to lose power. Thanks.

I have a Flowmaster single on the left set up on my car. It is actually a kit available for `96-97 camaro's but it works on LS cars. It uses a 2 chamber 40 series muffler. Mufflex also sells a 3.5" kit if you don't want the 4" one.

I have considered true duals, just haven't done enough research to see how it's done, if I went that route I would go all the way out back with it. But under the circumstances, I'll probably stay with the 3" and get a good si/so muffler.

I have a custom single in/single out using 3" Borla offset XR-1. I had the shop tuck it as high as possible so you can't see it. Sounds good to me (refined and deeper).

my exhaust is set up like that.
i have a slp lm 2 muffler and it sounds realy good.but i have stock manis and cats so i dont know how it will sound with lt's.
im more than positive that it out flows a cross flow.
