1.56 60' Vid - How can I make it better
This is the best 60 we've had. The rear QA1's are at 6 and the fronts are at 2. Dumped at 5500, any higher seems to blow the tires off. LCA's on the bottom hole and pinion is at -2. ET Streets were at 18 psi hot. Lower actually spun more. Anybody got any advice after looking at the clip?
Thanks In Advance...

1.60x is usually a good 60'. I have a video of the tires blowing off and cutting a 2 something where you can see the rear end hit the tires pretty hard and then it came right back up went down one more time and then spun them like they were in the water box. But, that was with the spray and the rears at 5.

Looked like you hooked good on the hit and then bogged on that pass.
Just some thoughts that seem to help me....
Try more rpm' on those same shock settings/tire psi.(until just before the tires blow)to keep it from bogging.
Once you're blowing the tires off, the track isn't taking the hit(assuming you're running a real tire). Soften up the fronts.... try #1 click first..... soften up the rears some. Get the weight to the rear faster and keep it there longer. Then play w/ lower tire pressure at 1lb. increments until you're hooking good again.
You want to hit the tire only as hard as the track will allow, and you want to shoot for as much psi in the tires as you can until just before they do blow off. There's always a fine line between shock settings/tire pressures/rpm's you'll need to locate, and that's just trial and error until you know how the car will react to any given suspension/chassis tweak like the back of your hand.
When you said a lower psi made it spin worse, you may be turning the tire on the rim. Put a stripe on the tire and wheel.... make a pass at the lower psi and see if that's your gremlin.
FWIW.... consider an ET DRAG. 1.5x's on ET Streets may easily be 1.3x's on DRAGS
Hope that helps some....

Thanks John, You guy's are the ones that got me to take the rears up to 6. It seemed to help as the 1.56 was a new best but I think if I could get the launch rpm right, I could take that down to a 1.50 or maybe even a 1.4x. That alone might get this pig into the tens.

The light is set at 6800 but I short shift it sometimes cuz of my old ears. I need to get it on the dyno and find out where it really should be but it "feels" like it could go on forever.

Yep - Stock '02 bottom end. It's only got 18k on it. I don't have a problem taking it higher, (I wan't to build a big cube motor anyway), Just want to get the launch down before I start getting crazy. I'm uploading a vid right now of the 2.5 60' that blew the tires off. I think I just floored it and dumped it on that one...

Im having very similar bog issues with the T-Rex as well. I have my limiter at 7300 btw stock bottom end and its survived this way for over three years now ???. Im going to try a full slick next i was on 27in Hoosier QTPs and could only muster low 1.6s. Good luck on your quest
