How to fix poorly fitting/adjusting PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS... EDIT: FOR A MUCH BETTER FIX GO HERE:

Well, I haven't seen anyone who has gotten these headlights and been able to adjust them properly (aka: high enough to actually see) without goofy washers and other things.
I pulled mine back off today to try to get a permanent fix (after trying stock brackets and realizing they are identical to the ones that come with the lights) and realized what the problem is.
Because of the size of the projector housing, the brackets need clearancing to be fully adjusted.
When I pulled mine apart I saw this rub mark on both brackets:
You can see here with it back on that it is clearly being stopped by the housing:
Easy enough fix, just make a little clearance room TO THE BRACKET with the dremel:
Then it can adjust all the way without being stopped by the housing:
And now I can full adjust the headlights and I can actually SEE while driving with them at night AND there is no goofy gap between the lights and the bumper

EDIT: IF YOU AREN'T GOOD AT PLAYING WITH THE STOCK MOUNTING BRACKETS (on the car, not the headlights) THEN JUST ADD WASHERS TO GET RID OF THE GAP AND CALL IT A DAY

So did you do anything else to your brackets other than notch them to fit better?
My gap is terrible, yours looks pretty good. Any more suggestions? I tried the factory bracket and the one that came with these. They both fit terrible with the headlight angled up.

btw...If anyone is a machinist, and would like to make some aluminum brackets of some sort, I'd be willing to pay out the *** for them
Some that are a better fit and still adjustable.

Just got my lights yesterday,couldn't resist after seeing them on your
ride,VERY nice.They did not come w/any instructions though.
Where to hook up the green and black wires that are seperate.

Anyways, the black wires you simply ground and the blue wires you hook up to whatver you want to power the Halos/LEDS.
Mine get power when the nitrous comes on but you could splice them into your foglights, DRL's, etc... Or just get a toggle switch and send power to them only.
You could even get a factory foglight switch and add it to your dash OR splice two wires together off the factory switch (the power in and power out wires) so that the foglights are always on when the headlights are on (who ever turns them off anyways???) and then send a 12v ignition power to the switch and run the out wire to the Halos.
I HIGHLY recommend ditching the LEDS with Reject's write-up (I did

I did what you said.. got them to adjust up higher but gap is still there. not that terrible but enough to bother me till the day i die / fix it.
Lol and everyone has complimented the LEDs they think they are cool.

ah didn't see that part at the end. i'll mess around with it after class tonight and see how it goes. The halos look absolutely sick though going down the road. I'm such a loser I was trying to drive towards glass windows to see the reflection

I live in Hawaii, but I told them I lived where they lived, forget where that was, but anyhow, yeah... sabersport on ebay will swap units if you bought from him, he had it fixed, I found another way to fix it too though... take a screw driver, and bend the lil piece of metal forward
