Question Dohc on a lt4?

Some guy on another site is claiming to have dohc heads on his lt4.
Has anyone ever done this, is it possible?

Sounds like an LT5 too me, shares basically nothing with these motors and is NOT worthwhile. Only think it has going for it is the WOW factor was like a $25K option on the Vette in the late 80s early 90s, believe the max rating was 410hp.

if they were to make an LT1 right now with DOHC... it'd be pretty badass

hell, any DOHC chevy block would be badass. now if chevy only put their technology from their nextel cup cars into their crate motors...

You might be thinking about the Arao / Dominion 32V heads....

NOT DOHC.

no, hes says he has a l5 heads and lt4 383.

I don't think there's any way to incorporate LT5 heads into an LT1/4 motor. I've seen 350's with DOHC back when I was in highschool. My shop teacher was old school and had pics of so many sweet things.

Hell, maybe he just has a Northstar motor lol

Have you looked under many LT1's lately? These came from the factory with standard oil leakage. We had a 10K mile 96 SS in the show room...leaked oil. They're just too powerful to keep it in

yea, a hotcam, a cc503, a cc306, and a GM847!!! that would make you have power in each powerband when you need it!

yeah lt1's do leak, but at least they are dependable... northstar was a complete flop of a design
