I am no 9 sec car but from watching some of the stockers (nhra or Ihra what ever) latley run dep in the 9s on 9" slicks I don't think it would be a problem with a well put together susp.

I ran a set of 28x9x15 ET Drags back in 2001, they are like a 27" tall tire. Worked nice.

I have some and don't really like them . Seemed like they would always shake like crazy or would wiggle around ALOT when they would stand up. Since you got them for free, I run the crap out of them.

There are plenty of guys going fast on them (actually 27.3" tall, not 28"). Hell, there are guys running low 5s in the 1/8th on 8.5" MT slicks. I would try them out. If you don't like them, I can buy them off of you if you'd like. I need a set for my car

With an M6 nitrous car I was able to pull low 1.40 60' times on the same tires without tubes. They are also a great fit on 8" rims and didn't require any kind of modification to the wheel wells.

I've used them. I had really good luck with them on a 8" rim, no tubes.
