A 3500 stall will not be suitable for such a small cam with say an effective power range starting at 1800 rpms or less. With that size converter, I would go no smaller than the TSP Magic Stick 3 (237/242 603/609 @ 112lsa). Reason being, your stall speed puts you about half through your good power in those smaller cams.
Again, no smaller than the MS 3 or HPE S cam. I would only go up from there. I am a firm believer in the S cam.

I have a friend that has a 99 camaro M6 car with LTs, lid and the TSP 228R cam and it makes really good power through the RPM range, I would really consider this cam. Couldn't go wrong in may opinion.

M6 is different than using a 3500 stall. The rpm range starts way lower than that.

YEA I HAD THAT CAM the 228r from TSP but sold it 
i like that MS3 how much is it any 1 know ? but guys remember ima use it for a daily driver isint the MS3 OR HPE-SCAM 2 big for DD ?

I have a S cam in my D1SC 06 M6 DD. It's awesome. MS 3 is very close to the same as the S cam. Like I said before, I would only go up from say, the HPE C cam. That would be the smallest I would go, and in response to the megadeath cam, Chuck has some good grinds. I would call him personally and talk to him about it, before stuffing it in an A4. A guy in Jacksonville did the S2 cam, I believe, and he loves the results. With a 150 shot he will be in the 10's. N/A he was low 11's. I haven't ever heard anyone complain about any of the HPE grinds.
If you are ready to pull the trigger on one, call Chuck at HPE. He'll set you up. Or if you want a TSP cam, call John.
We are very fortunate to have the vendors that we have, becasue they all get good feedback and are very knowledgeable.
I am putting together a heads and cam setup for my 04 A4 and I will tell you that it includes a grind in the neighborhood of the MS 3 - S2 cam. PM if you are interested in knowing.
