Default what tires to get??

Ok yall I just got some 15x10 pro stars and need to start looking for tires. I was thinking about getting the ET street radials. Right now the car has heads/cam and I have a nitrous kit i was going to be putting on it soon (prob. only spraying a 75-100 shot till i get a 12 bolt and built transmission). Still has the stock 10 bolt with 3:23 gears, and that will stay in it till it breaks. Its an automatic with a 3200 stall converter if that matters. I was thinking about getting a 275/60/15 tire, what do yall think? Ive also heard that a 275/50/15 might be better? Also do yall have any other recommendations on tires, these will only be going on the car when at the track. I have a separate set of rims to drive on the street.

thanks,
Brandon

A lot of guys run a 15x10 with 7.5" back space on stock width rear ends.

They cut out the bump stop and hammer a few places.

Not sure if you have to run offset LCA's but a lot of people run them once they go to rod/rod LCA's

the 325/50/15 will probably be too much tire and actually slow your 60ft time down. I would use a 275/50/15, as it should fit you just right.

I have seen this myself and seen other do it as well by trying to get the biggest tire possible because it looks awsome.

On the street it will be faster with the bigger tire, didn't know it was a full strip car.

these tires will only be used at the track. I was thinking a 275 would be plenty to hook with. The main thing im wondering is will a 275/50/15 be better than a 275/60/15?

325's will be too much tire for your set-up. You will go faster with 275's. I ran a 10.48 last week on 275/60/15's with a 1.40 60' at 19 psi in the tires and it didn't even try to spin. This is with a 150 shot off the trans-brake. There are guys running 8.2x's in the 1/4 with a 295/65/15 DR. You still think he needs a 325?

The 295/65 is a 30 inch tall tire, the footprint on that is a good amount larger then the 325/50, the 325/50 is a wider tire, but also a touch shorter then a regular 28 inch.

Either way, he doesn't need anything that big. A good 275 is plenty.

I didn't see a single thing about chassis work. Do you have any type of upgrades or adjustability?
