Default B1 C1 or T1 what the hell

whats the difference between these cams from MTI. i know they have different specs but which is choppyer, has a better power band range, better low end torque. what are the pros and cons to these? some people say they have a B1 and love it and others say they would go with a C1 because its newer than the T1.my friend has a T1 with true duels and flp's and it sounds ill. can somebody please tell me whats the difference.

Well they are close to the same spec wise; 221/221 .558/.558 112 LSA vs. 222/222 .566/.566 112 LSA. The bigest difference is the lift and the ramp design. The C1 will make more power and idle a little better (less choppy,) but the T1 would be easier on springs. But overall a doubt you could tell much difference.

Dude, what the hell?
Get a C1! Has a lope to it. Will give ya the most overall power.
B1 and T1 will give ya quicker torque down low I would think. If you want chop, don't get a B1.

C1 here, too. The cam is a real kick in the pants. Plus, that idle will turn heads.

Although they are both on a 112 LSA, the C1 should be a little smoother due to it's faster ramp design that minimizes intake/exhaust overlap.

All are very similar.
The C1 should put out the most HP.... I ran 10.8 way back in the day using it and MTI's heads.

Good luck.

Huh?

I'm gonna have to disagree with that.

My B1 lopes pretty good even through a muffler. 800rpm idle plus tuning. You could hear it clearly even when I was idling at 950rpm and running a super-quiet SLP 2OTL catback.

My B1 lopes comparable to a friends' T1 cammed LS1, also idling at 800rpm.

i appreciate all of the helpful input but im still stuck. i all ready know how the T1 sounds. does anyone have any sound clips of a C1. sure i want the C1 because it gets more power but im curious if the two have a pretty similar lope or is the C1 somewhat like a sleeper cam and substantialy quieter than the T1?

I've heard a C1 cammed car right next to a T1 cammed car. T1 loped harder at the same idle rpm. Granted, the C1 car in question had a quieter catback, but still I could barely hear the lope of the C1. T1 will be very apperent. B1 and T1 are almost the same in lope dispite the 112 vs 114 LSA.

Or you could just blow off all of these and get the C2 or a TR224 . . . I think it has been proven that a 224 duration cam is optimum . . . just take a close look at Raughammers sig!
