Default Ballistic Speed Car Club... DFW..

Hey everyone... As you can all see I decided to drop from the group deal, and attack this on my own..

As most of you have seen I have been asking around and finding out about clubs here. Started with What a Rush and those guys and we were working something, but instead of me on and on about what we should do, and having the possibility of butting heads with the direction of a club, I went back to starting this thing on my own..
This is where I am and looking for members!!!

Club Name: BALLISTIC SPEED

www.ballisticspeed.com

decal design currently is: redish/orange to black..
can be changed with group efforts.

web site is ours, and will be up and fully running as of middle to end of next week.

To get things started I WILL NOT be having a membership fee..

BUT... to be part of the club you MUST have window decal...
I have a design being drawn up right now for the club. So by next week design will be up and running and I know a few shops that can cut/handle the decal.. So this will be most peoples main thing to get. Should not be that much since I will be working a deal for the decals.

As for some of you waiting to see what I was working, well this is it.
We will set up meets, tracks runs.. And of course what I am very interested in.
Group deals on parts, nitrous, cams, tires, wheels.
Basically everything you would want out of a car club, we will attempt to accomplish. Especially getting a show put together!!!

All members will have access to our FTP servers.
All members will have their own email addresses... joeblow@ballisticspeed.com

We will have forums, pics, videos all on site.
of course a lot of us come here, LS1tech, so we are not trying to pull anyone from here, just another place to go and post.
I have a professional Photographer who we will work with for our meets, track days so we can make sure we have plenty of pics/videos for us.

Even though I am getting this off the ground, I will be needing VP's to say the sort.. Basically I will be needing some heads that are dedicated and can help keep things rocking and rolling.

There is some good interest in this, so lets get this rocking and blow this **** up. This car club will not only be the DFW area, or Texas area.
I currently have some race buddies in AZ, and NM who are already getting in with this and are going to get divisions of the club going in AZ and NM.

So this is going to be fun...
If interested you can PM me or post it,
my email will be up and running next week when site is fully operational.
If I can get the email going before then, I might do that.

That sounds like a membership fee. Unless you are handing them out for free that is.

You better be careful who you butt heads with. There are so many different clubs in the DFW area that it is hard get a large membership base. Everyone knows everyone, and people dont very easily separate from a crowd they have been with for awhile. In order for track days to happen and what not, you are going to need other clubs..... especially if you are not charging dues. Hell, thats what dues are for.

Good luck with this, and the multiple state thing.... that should be interesting.

I hear what you are saying, but the soo many clubs in the dfw area.. Where are they... I have found 1, Texas f-body....
And as for dues and what not, that comes in due time... This is how I have started a club in the past... That club is still around, I just got out because for 1, I moved, and for 2, it was a lowrider club.

As for track days, yes that would be getting with another club to get it all filled up, because I know we wont be able to rent out a track with 20 members, that would be steep on everyone....

The no fees deal is because when we do stuff, we can pull together money then, most people feel better to hand out money when it is needed, and not having it sitting in a bank account waiting to be used.

This way all members can see what their money will go towards...
And if a decal for the window being 20 bucks, if you consider that a fee, then it could be looked at that way...

But thanks alot....

would this be a windshield decal? if it is, alot of people are picky about it. if its a sticker for the side window or front lower side of the hatch that would be good as long as its a good size. stickers for $20, is this a big *** sticker lol?

I am on the boat of having 2 different size decals... A bigger one for people who want it, and a smaller one for people who dont want it too big...

I dont like the front windshield deal.. That looks ugly.. I would personally go with a side window decal or rear window...
I personally am going to have a big ******* sticker on my back window.

And as for the 20 bucks, I was just making the comment that even if the decal did cost 20 bucks, that really isnt much... It should not be that much though.. Especially after I pay for the initial dye to be made...

After that it would be print cut...

I could do the same, but I am having some vinyls made up also...
I personally would rather go with chrome plaques, but most people dont like em, too lowrider'ish...

My buddy did the design, and what not, so I have the digital image, and the actual drawing, but I am doing a little more with the name then just making stickers for glass.

Also the logo will be a bullet, hence Ballistic, with some draglites on it, then the name in front...
I will have the logo on the site as quick as my buddy finishes it.

Nice, I dont have my cutter anymore, sold it when I sold off my IT business 2 years ago.. I am kicking myself in the *** right now, because I didnt make what I wanted to on the cutter. It was the 30x30 flat digital control cutter.

I could do anything up 30"... I use to make all kinds of **** back then...
dammit, now you got me thinking of missing my equipment...

My wife gives me **** all the time about me selling my **** off, then buying new stuff... She gets mad, always asking why I sold the stuff. and I am like, I DONT KNOW!!!
