yea it's been done by a few people here. I've seen it done with a 880 lamp kit and people have replaced the foglamps which use h3 lamps and purchased a kit for that. There is a vendor on here that sells the 880 kit but I forget the username. Someone will chime in with the info.

I purchased a 6000k HID fog light kit from Brian2006's site and I'm more than happy with it. While the light pattern is same as the stock fog lights and sort of aims up and out, the light is still bright enough to drive without the headlights popped up and it looks killer. The 6000k lights are more "white" than the 8000k. Here are some pictures I took with my phone:

Those are pretty bright, looks good though. Your phone takes some pretty damn good pics too, lol.
Are you gonna do your headlights too, how does it look with the headlights on and the fogs...seems it would look kind of weired.

The K number is the color temp. It is not the brightness (well not directly, I'll explain). 4000K - 5000K is the brightest. Continuing up the color scale, the light gets bluer then purpler and the lumens output (the actual measurement of light) decreases. In other words, a 10000K HID kit is dimmer than a 4300K HID kit. Our eyes are least sensitive to blue light. Blue light also scatters more easily. In the end, we can see better with a 4300K HID kit for many reasons.

I will eventually get my high and low beams done but for now I don't ride with the headlights and fogs on, only one or the other.

No bumper removal neccessary, just plug in from the top if you can reach it, the fog lights are real easy plug and play. I've done my car and 3 friends car's, all camaro/firebirds and ive done low beam and fog lights. Less than $400 for both low beams/foglights when said and done for my trans am and alittle bet less expensive for the camaro since you dont have to buy new glass lenses,
