You technically don't need anything, at least to buy. You do need to clearance the bottom of the intake to fit over the coolant lines.

Looking at the bottom of your intake, you will see ribs that are 1/16" wide and about 1/8" - 1/4" high. These need to be shaved down over top of the coolant line.

You have two options:

1. Cut down all of them with a device of your choice. It's easy to do, use a sander, an exacto knife or some other sharp tool.

2. Put some kind of paint on the coolant lines, then place the intake and see where it is in relation to the bottom of the intake and remove just those areas.

The choice is yours. But it's really easy to do. Save the $50 for a couple cases of beer.

I was worried about this b4 i changed my intake. I just tightend my intake the correct way down over the pipes and i have had no problems with it. I actually had to pull my intake yesterday because i broke my oil pressure sending unit. I was going to remove the lines but when i removed the intake the pipes were fine, they were not smashed at all. I personally think they do not need to be taken off, just watch that oil pressure sending unit because it is a easy thing to break when you do an intake swap. If you do break it make sure to pull your intake back off and replace it because i didn't and about 2 months later it costed me 4 1/2 quarts down the back side of my block.

Rip the egr off of it. Unless you get an LS6 from SLP that has the egr port on top there will be no where to run your line. I just made some block off plates for mine and removed it.

when you say you made plates , are you refering to the headers ...... is that the pump in front of the motor that is bolted to the passenger head ...... do i just jerk it off and throw it away..... what about the other hoses that connect to the header.....

there will be one hose that goes to the top of the intake and one that goes to the PS header. if you dont get the SLP Intake you have to delete EGR by bolting a plate to the header and throw out the egr. PS make sure you can pass emmisions with out the egr before you go thru this

Yes that is it. I made plates to block off the headers and a block off plate for the ls1 intake when i had it. Just remove that pump and all of its lines, make some block off plates, or you can also buy some, and you should be good to go. I threw mine away but you might be able to sell it on ebay.

You can get a Lingenfelter EGR Adapter for the LS6 Intake off ebay.
