Default anyone run comp cams XER273HR?

I think it would make quite a bit more power then the 224 cams out there.

224/230 581. 585 114lsa

I had that cam, and sold it. I kind of regret that to be honest

I would not expect too much of a difference between that cam and a 224/224. It would come down to exhaust system. The 224/230 would work better with cats, or some other restrictive exhaust.

While the exhaust system plays a role, it's really a factor of how well the exhaust port of the cylinder head flows. If your exhaust port is very efficient and your intake port to ex port % flow is good, alot of the time a single pattern cam is more efficient. As you can see there is alot of depends in choosing a cam and one should be chosen based off the sum of your parts and mainly the flow capability of the cylinder head.

hi guys. im Alan and im from melborne australia. over here i have a vy ss commodore which has the gen 3 5.7 in it. its A4. the engine is stock other than a underdrive pully, otr, 1 3/4 pipes and a nice 224/230 comp cam. mine is 591/585. i also run stock brand new LS6 heads.
has a built auto with a 4200 dominator stallie and 3.9 diff gears.
my car makes 290rwkw on 98 ron fuel. and has run a best time of 11.549@121mph in full weight. {1600kg} i drive it everyday. i would recomend the camshaft without a doubt.
hope this helps.
