Default Finally, 700+ rwhp stock LS2 = BOOM

It finally let go...same old story, too much timing. 14 psi, completely stock LS2 down to the valvesprings. No idea on power but on 13 psi and less timing it was around 680 rwhp 700 tq. Too many 4th and 5th gear highway pulls to count (motor let go on highway 5th gear pull). Car has been daily driven for the past month at 12-14 psi (about 1500 hard street miles). APS TT system.

If anybody out there has a stock LS2 shortblock they would like to sell, please PM me. Time to do forged rods/pistons....

You were asking for forged internals now weren't we. If I only had money to burn, LOL It scares me to see the guys that do these kind of things b/c you don't wanna even guess what comes flying out of the shop after its been fired up once again

Man that did not take you long just curious were running straight 91 or were you using any additives etc? PM if you need any ideas on the build up.

High teens timing?
In fact Id even say mid/low teens with that pressure and compression.

I think one of the big differences between your stock shortblock build and my own is the lower compression heads you had on your car. I would assume that makes a difference on cylinder pressure.

I might throw another stock motor back in it for the time being. I think I have one locked down....

wow thats a ton of boost with that compression. kinda makes you wonder how long it could have lasted at like 12 psi with a little less timing.

Keep boost the same, take like 4 degrees off the timing.

OR

Keep the boost the same, take 2 degrees off the timing... and then don't do anymore 5th gear pulls! Any gear under a 1:1 ratio is going to make your engine work a shitton harder which obviously builds up a lot of heat and starts detonating like it's cool.

Nice numbers though!
