Default Owners of Whisper 1 7/8" Headers inside please

I currently have these whisper headers and two cutouts on the Y-pipe right now. I am considering going with the Kooks 1 7/8" stepped headers with X-pipe and dumps before the rear. The motor is a 408 stroker.

My question is do you guys think I would see any gains going to this setup instead of my current.

thanks,
Rusty

Agreed..10 rwhp at the most by swapping...spend the $$ on something more hp inducing

thats assuming you gain horsepower...theres always the chance that you could lose a couple....

Hehe.. hope you weren't looking for many "actual" owners of Whisper headers.. there aren't many.

I have a set on my stock internals car.

The only places I see you could pick up would the area around the steering shaft and the extra length of the collector.

If it was me, I'd focus in other areas first... there might be a little horsepower to gain, but not enough to justify the cost.

Thanks WILWAXU, that's what I was kinda thinking also.. Probably just spend the money on one of the new intakes that they are coming out with.

I am also an owner of them. I used them on my 9.82 setup.

I don't think you'll gain much, if any, by going to a 1 7/8-2" stepped header...if that's what you were suggesting. Your Whisper headers flow plenty for that engine, IMO.

The engine was dynoed with the Whispers. Kooks 1 7/8-2" headers are on order.
