Nope, sounds right. You will have more noise from the IAC with the round hole like that.

I thought something was up when I read epoxy because I have never done one with any epoxy for a customer. Ive TIGed a few were the casting was thin on the bottom and close to the throtte shaft but never any IAC opening filling epoxy or welding(except when I was testing what did what on the dyno back over 4 years ago). Do you have a pic of the TB?

By the pic everything looks good, shapes and all. I thinned every blade I did so the factory "honeycomb" look of the blade wouldnt be on any of mine, It would be either polished to a mirror or be a satin nondirectional finish. Then when I put a TB together I always used washers under the blade screws to more evenly distribute the clamping force of the screws. Nothing wrong with that TB though, looks good

I would be real careful with that epoxy filler piece. I just found mine inside of one of the runners of the head. It was a epoxy piece with a brass colored tube in it. Not sure what happened to the other tube because it sure isn't in the epoxy piece anymore

Just curious, how is it supposed to flow any more air if the inner diameter of the throttle blade never got any bigger? You could actually port the whole front of it off til nothing is left and you wont change how much it flows. ??? Kind of like a funnel, no matter how big the big end is, its never going to flow more than the smaller end will allow.....just look pretty.

The aim is to increase efficiency and speed of flow.. So if you remove a little material and all of the casting flashes, etc, then the air should flow smoother and give an increase in performance..
