turbo 5.3L or 6.0L?
I have a masterpower T70. My goal is to make 600 to 650hp. I know I can get this out of a 5.3L, however I don't want to be pushing the limits. Do you think it is okay to get this out of 5.3? Or should I get a 6.0? Please post your thoughts on how I can get this horsepower number... thanks

If I can get 400hp out of just the motor, I should be able to pull around 600 with about 8lbs. of boost. If I hit 600 with either one, what would you do to make it more reliable? I heard the rods are only good for around 500, so I'm planing to change those... anyone have an opinion on which motor I should use?

okay so I'm leaning more towards the 6.0
should I run a ZO6 cam/springs like most do with the 5.3?
Is their anything I need to do to a 6.0 for it to run 8lbs? or is everything pretty solid for that low of boost?

i run between 9-12psi on a completely stock 6.0, just a cam. Im making about 670hp(crank). All you need is the zo6 cam and a fuel system and it will take alot. I dont even run a intercooler, just pump gas. If you can get a 6.0 cheap enough its a no-brainer, but the 5.3 is just so cheap its hard not to go that route.

parish used a ZO6 cam/springs and 50lb injectors
I can get a 6.0L for about $800 bucks... but I can get a 5.3L for a measly $400...
I'll prolly go with the same cam set-up, but I'm going to use 60lb injectors. Their 50pounders with at like 95% cycle duty!
so, here's the set-up so far: 6.0L with 60lb injectors, Z06 cam/springs, T70 turbo, 10.5lbs of boost, 93 octane.
should I go with a different set of rods? or will they be alright?

Ya, rods are plenty strong. I've seen 10 times more broken ringland from detention on stock boosted motors then broke rods. If my 4.8 can make 500+ at the wheels with 12 psi, pump gas and windshield washer fluid for meth, I think with 70 more cubes you should be able to get 600. Maybe not with 8 lbs, probable more like 10-12, but a stock motor and a Z06/LS6 cam with a good tune should hold it.

what should I do for a fuel system? 6.0L, 60lb injectors, T70 turbo.....
can I use the stock '93 v-6 camaro tank with a 'in tank' fuel pump (larger one of course) or should I sump the tank and put an in line pump on? I have no clue how big of one I need, so some gph numbers would help too...
