Default Warbird (lt1) People Need Your Help!

I have the first Warbird hood that was released for the LT1

I am wondering what intake setup you are using. Is there a ram air box that works with this hood.

There are like two different types of Warbird hoods. This I believe is the first one that US Exotics released back in like 2004 or something. I don't think this is made anymore.

Wow, that hood really makes that car look more aggressive! It really does!

That's a nice looking hood! You can always do a LS1 style air intake if you can't find a ram air set up.

brejcha, do you have some contact info on where I could buy a hood like that?

I have always loved that style of 98+ hood

Thanks!

I got a brand new Firehawk air box off ebay. The bottom plate is warped, so I'm going to cut the bottom piece, and fiberglass it to the radiator shroud. I'm ordering some nice intake hose clamps, and a K&N air filter. I believe Roger designed these hoods to work with a stock air box. So any WS6, or Firehawk box should work.
I also plan on cutting the fiberglass shield that blocks water. I'm going to fab up a piece of aluminum that I can bolt over if it rains.
I've ran this hood for 3 years now, with a regular K&N intake. I'm going to miss the cooling advantages of just an open ram air scoop. I won't miss the excess dust in the engine bay. This is going to be more of an appearance mod than anything. I'll have pics up in a few weeks. Hopefully a finished project.

You got the first hoood. I got the last hood
