how is speed density faster?

afaik the 93s were slightly slower (at least for the f-body).

Six one way, half a dozen the other. They're all the same. Just a long standing joke more than anything between the SD and MAF guys.

According to the majority of people on this forum the SD LT1s were just a touch faster, my assumption as to why would be due to their injector firing method which changed in 94. I think SD is called batch, but I'm tired and don't rightly recall. Flipside is probably slightly less fuel economy which is why they changed it in 94.

Pro: (again according to many people on this forum) the SD LT1s take to mods better.

Con? Well we have to still burn our own chips 94+ gets to re-flash their PCM. (Con to that: software is pricey)

Pro: our Automatics aren't computer controlled, so throwing in a TH350, 400, 200R4 wouldn't be so tough

Con, we can't tune in higher line pressure for firmer shifts, but we also don't have to tune the transmission if we upgrade to a bigger throttle body

LT1 is essentially an LT1, and whatever year you get, you'll be happy with it. Unless you're a lucky ****** who snagged an LT4 in 97 via Firehawk or SS or 96 Vettes, then you're really happy

well again, I don't think that's really the case, and I don't think a majority of people think that either but whatever don't really care.
