I have done maybe 300 on mine. Seems like the car spends more time getting reprogrammed than actually driving

This question came up not long ago on the LS1edit mailing list. I believe the answer was around 1200 programming cycles. But there was a bad batch of PCM's that are shot after much less. I've probably done mine close to 100 times so far.

The chip in the PCM allows for around 3,000 flashes.
I would suspect LS1edit is the cause and somehow swaps 2 offset address bytes (LSB/MSB) and writes where it should not.
I have seen a PCM after a valid upload from that point on never function as it did before the flash was done and even when the orginal flash file was uploaded back in the PCM still was not back to normal.

IT depends.
If you have a service replacement PCM, you may get 5 flashes out of it. This is an intentional limit put in by GM. I have my sources...
Otherwise, a factory installed PCM is, as far as you'll care, unlimited (as discussed above).
