Default Tapping Tank On Griffin Rad

Has any one had success with tapping a hole in the tank of the griffin radiator. I need to tap a 3/8 hole for a coolant temp sensor but wanna make sure its thick enough to get enough threads to hold. Anyone do this with any luck?

+1 that's the right way to make it strong enough to handle the vibration.

i welded a bung to mine, the wall isnt thick enough to tap

just say you want to return the part, and they will refund your money and you get to keep the part as it isnt worth them to pay for shipping to get the part back, least they did that a couple of times when i needed to return something cheap

I just placed a order early this week and two last week with em so they were kind enough to waive the shipping on the 5 dollar part. A++

Also this works with Summit: If you have an order pending, you can add stuff to the order and it is covered under the original service charge. This only works until the last piece ships and the order closes. Perhaps someone clever could look for a part backordered for a while? Sort of blanket shipping coverage...
