i opened the hood up yesterday to do some cleaning on my 2002 ss and i noticed the area where the struts are is the metal pushed up are the struts coming up thats high?the car has stock struts and shocks and a eibach prokit

it might be alittle bit before i can get pics but the area of metal where the front struts are under is pushed up alittle bit on both sides

its kinda hard to explain maybe this will give u a clearer picture,under the hood on both sides directly above where the strut is the metal is humped up i gotta get some pics hopefully within the next day or so

i went outside to see if i could tell what youre talking about and youre right. the overlapping metal, where the struts are mounted, is bent upwards. i guess its normal? doesnt look like it was ever welded, so it makes sense that it would bend overtime. ill go out and take a pic.

There's nothing wrong with it. Look at the passenger side and it will be the same. Both my cars look just like that, SS and V6.
