msd opti?
ok i converted my car to the newer vented style opti and i got the msd it seems to be making a funny noise when its running i put the opti in so the slotted hole is the one that the dowl pin is in is that correct and is there supposed to be some kind of spacer in the slotted part in the opti or something? just seing if anyone has pics of what all comes with the msd and info on how you installed it thanks

Yes it goes in the slotted hole. What noise is it making? Sound like rubbing? If so the screws for the rotor could be loose or your cam dowle is to long, or last but not least its making noise on the timing cover seal.

did you have the o-ring or the square style gasket that came with it, some guys have installed it wrong with the o-ring and it made the rotor rub on that plasctic backing plate, runining it. I bought the square gaskets myself for it and was much easier to intstall. if the opti is installed wrong on the cam it ushally will not start.

At the same time? If you changed over the chain to a double chain, it could be rubbing the front cover. There are a few people on here who have had to clearance the front cover when swithcing over to a double roller.
