Default took the DoD off

i fussed up and took the ole opticrap off today, and was pretty shocked at the amount of reddish colored dust inside. no water/oil/etc. just ALOT of that rust colored dust. so im going to be getting 4 cans of compressed air and spray it out. i can picture that causing a code 16 for low-res. the pickup wheel looks clean and the slits arent closed up. cap terminals look pretty worn, and the rotor... the "fin" for spark looks burned at the tip and its covered in that dust.

i have pictures uploading at the moment for thoes who want to see lol

yea, pulling the opti because of dust lol.

on a side note, while pulling the waterpump, it got a waterfall of coolant on the plug boots, but nothing made it inside

So since your going to use the LTCC can you re-use that same opti or do you have to get a new one? Just curious for my own knowledge.

How does the bearing feel? If its noisy when you spin it by hand or rough feeling its time for a new opti.

Well I guess a faulty OPTI can technically be a dispacement on demand too, at least that was my take on reading it...

Good luck with your OPTI, those things are bad juju...
