I would recommend something just above 3000 as well. I have a "2C" that is perfect for a DD and still gives great performance. What is your read end ratio?

i have a 4000 stall and with my stock 2.73 gears out back and i love it. some might say its too high of a stall for a DD but i've never felt that way.

Werd, I have a 4400 with 3.23's, so it probably feels like yours does. I love it.

I'm sure it's not for everyone though, I'd go with a 3800, with the 3800 I had before (2.5STR) you could hardly tell it wasn't stock, at least until your went WOT.

I've got a 3500 w/3.73's and it's totally streetable. I've actually been considering going bigger. All converters are different, though. It all depends on how it was built, STR, etc.

The Yank SS series will drive nearly as tight as stock but hits hard with a 2.5 STR. Yank builds an efficient converter also.

Depends on how you use your car. Is it just around town or are you going to take it to the track?
