Default Well, found my misfire problem... It's the piston!

This pretty much blows...

Guess it's time to man up and get forged...

Why would you need a forged set up? I don't see FI in your sig.

he wouldn't necassarily NEED one... but it's good insurance for reliability... even on an N/A engine...

Eh I tried that .... but honestly, in retrospect I wish i just got a crate motor ls6 or ls2 and saved A LOT OF bs.

But best of luck if you do it!

A 408 will take all your LS1 stuff, direct swap. $4292 with Callies crank and rod and Wiseco pistons or $4042 with Eagle crank and rods instead.

I found an ls6 with 30k miles for 2k. it doesn't have the intake or the accessories, but I've got that stuff covered...

I can see needing the forged set up just in case you run boost in the future, but n/a sounds almost worthless. I could be wrong since I'm still new to the LS-world (10+ years building Mustangs), but no amount of normal n/a HP should ever give your stock short block any problems as long as your tune is safe and have enough fuel.

If I wasn't spinning my motor as high as I planned I would have went stock rebuild...I kinda regret going with a forged rod when I don't really need one.
