Default Quick help MAF cleaning

I'm not sure if this is the right section, but here it goes. I've read 3 different threads about cleaning the MAF. I have CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. Is this OK to spray on it? Also, in each of those threads were basically just a warning to avoid the sensor wires. I understand that, but what exactly do I need to remove to get to the actual MAF on the car. Has anyone found a picture write-up? This is my first time doing this to any of my cars, and I really don't want to **** anything up as this is my only car. Thanks in advance.

dude just pull your maf out and clean it with the electronic cleaner that you bought. avoid the wires and make sure that you let it dry before you install it... and you will be fine.

I've also seen cans of cleaner that are made specifically for MAF. Just be careful

Undo the clams that hold the bellows to the maf and the maf to the lid. Then remove lid, set aside. Then remove maf.

I have the same cleaner you are using and it worked great. As long as its a no-residue cleaner, you are fine.

I've taken the clam's apart, and cleaned the wires with alcohol using ear swabs. You have to be careful, obviously, but it works very well. Cleaned the honey comb in soapy water along with the clam shells.
