Timing retard through IAT, EFILIVE
I posted this on the efilive forum, but that forum is dead in comparison to tech, so here goes.
I have the iat relay/resistor trick done to try to pull timing when spraying, and by looking at the logs, my iat jumps to 178deg as soon as the noids open, but I get no timing retard??? My timing stays right where the high octance table says, and I can't figure out why?????
Here is the log, and related screen shots from my tune.
Does anyone have any ideas?
BTW, this is an 05 GTO

The 111 is just where the "line was" which wasn't even on the screen when I hit "print screen", but you can see where the IAT bumps up to 178deg, and the timing dosen't move at all.

Check the multipliers that are tied to IAT Spark reduction. There should be one based on (A) RPM and another based on (B) ECT. I believe the way it works is:
Commanded Timing + (Multiplier A x Multiplier B x Spark IAT table) = Delivered timing
So, if any of those multipliers are 0, then no change will be made to delivered timing.
