Default 06 vs 07 Z06....

im seriously ready to buy a C6 Z06. as soon as my C5 sells, im taking the plunge. Been wanting one for a while and now im finally ready to let me C5 go. what are the differences between the 06 and 07 Z's??

well im not the one to tell u the diff..b/c i dont know but i do know the 08's ARE diff...atleast when it comes to the tranny...it has triple synchros instead of double on your 1,2,3,and 4th shift...there are alot of other details with this tranny...it shifts even SMOOTHER than its predecessors...i forgot what it is called but it sounds baddass..2 bad i wont be able to afford one....n im deployn too...STILL couldnt afford one lol...hope someone can chime in for ya

i heard the trans is way better and smoother but price is a big factor

I am sure you will love whichever car you end up getting. Hell, its a damn c6 zo6 !!! They are just that damn good.

Go with whichever one is more affordable. I saved 8K on an 06 over the two 07's they had with similar milelage. Thats enough for some heavy modding......or in my case, the wife to keep

well, the 07 comes with the 100k warrenty which helps out a lot unless you planning on digging inside the motor for more power

what exactly is the 2lz package? is it standard on Z06's? I dont care for the 100K warranty. it will be modded a week after I buy it.

The 2Lz package has the upgraded options (other than NAV). Just look at the option package comparison on the Chevy website for the 2008 car and its mostly the same.

it might sound crazy but if your not in a big hurry or could wait a while, wait for the Zr-1 to become a used car once the pricing becomes less, which might take a while but maybe worth it. thats what i'm thinking of doing if in 2010 or 2011 cadillac puts the zr-1 engine the xlr-v. i bought a 2007 xlr-v on a lease which ends around that time. if it comes out anyway
