Mild cam recomendations
I currently have a 94 Z with a LS1 conversion (see below sig) running a Stealth II cam. I love this cam as it drives great, gets good milliage, and kicks *** in the power department. The nild sound always fools other into thinking the car is much slower than it is.
In the next month or so the Z will be gone and I will be buying a C5 Vette. After driving my car the Vette is slow as dirt so it will be getting a cam ASAP. I'm asking for cam recomendations along the same line as the Stealth I have now. If I can't find anything better, I'll just buy another Stealth II.

what about a TR224? or have someone (Patrick G) custom spec a cam for you to meet your exact needs. I hear the 224/228 is an awesome one as well. When i do my 403 FI build i will be using a 224/228.

The Edelbrock package in my sig is also a good choice for those not looking to break the bank with a cam swap

quite honestly man, think about it. even with the same engine transferred into teh c5 vette, the c5 will still be slower, because itll lose more power through the IRS.... so you're gonna need to do something like get a bigger motor, with a mild cam.
Also you have to consider weight.. Unless you have a z06, I dont thinkthe c5 was signicantly lighter than a hardtop Z28... So again even with the same serup the vette will feel slower, but at least youd have better top end, due to better aerodynamics and better handling...
Now what I noticed is, it seems like the Z you had was a cam only LS1... in the vette go with a mild cam, like before. or even the same cam, and some nice , proper matched heads to raise up your compression ratio a bit. make sure all the parts will work together. but with a heads/cam swap, youd make more rwhp, even through the IRS, you wont sacrifice driveability , due to keeping the cam mild and this way its win/win
more rwhp
better handling
better top speed
weight(id figure is very close, maybe vette a tad lighter)
same drivability

TR224 is NOT stealth...it really needs headers and it will have a detectable lope. Get the CheaTR package from Thunder racing. It's an AFR heads and cam package that will definitely be faster and will not be detectable to even the trained ear. Especially if you keep the exahaust stock, because it's designed around a stock exhaust.
It will definitely be a sleeper...that is if you can even calla corvette a sleeper.

I have a comp cams XR277HR cam for sale w/ springs, valve locks and retainers. I don't know how "stealth" it is but I will give you a good deal on it. http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...csid=1088&sb=2

Any idea how this cam would act compared to the Stealth II in my current car? I know I'm a minority but near stock drivability and good millage are important to me. The wife will drive this once or so a week and I don't need complaints about the car being hard to drive in traffic etc.
Also...Would this cam require better heads, or would stock be OK. While I'm still up in the air on the heads I'm planning on running LT headers with cats and a X pipe and a stock 02+ Z06 cat back, an LS6 intake and a ported stock TB. It will be a M6 with stock gears (3.42 I think).
Thanx for the help
