Default firehawk rearend

ok guys i got a ? i have a 01 10th anniversary firehawk i was wondering about my rearend is it a 8.5 and if so can i use some 4.10 richmond gears on it??? plz anybody let me know

all rearends are 7.5 stock for 93-02 f-0bodys.

yeah i know that but mine is a slp rearend its betterthen stock i know that but imnot sure what size???

dude... slp doesn't make some magical special rear end. It's a 7.5 10 bolt, just like the rest of us. You can use any of the gears meant for the 10 bolt rear end sold by the sponsors.

As noted above, your Firehawk came with the 7.5" 10-bolt from the factory. You may have the Auburn diff, but that's about the extent of it.

And, if you've got the Auburn, it's WEAKER than the Torsen. Especially if you're a drag racer.... Best wishes, though. BTW, step up and buy GENUINE GM gears for your 7.5 10 bolt. WJ.

The optional rear was a Auburn for 01.(Thats why I didn't get that option )
It is a weaker posi than a torson.
I second the GM gears.

No.
Different years had a different option like,1 year Auburn was standard and torsion was optional and vise versa throughout the years.This was SLP's way of bending people over.
