What type of LSD would a LS1 SS have? How much abuse can it take?

The only LSD that i've heard of was back in the 60s & 70s lol, but we need more info to answer the Q. Do you have a 6sp. or Auto, any mods?

If you have an M6, you need to be careful with it, EVEN on street tires, or you'll have Rice Krispies in do time, but if its an Automatic, they will hold up alot longer.

Don't be out bangin gears, even with street tires, as you can break it. These rears were designed a long time ago for the Chevy Monza and S10. Bob

The Vette's are setup completely different (IRS), and do have weak areas too..The 7.5" 10 bolts were all around weak due to 26 to 28 spline axles, and the carriers. The vette's generally have problems with the case itself...

I could see how doin burnout after burnout. But if they can't even take aggressive street driving with a good gear oil in there something is wrong.
