Default Dart 205 vs. TSP stg 2.5 5.3's

I was stuck on getting the TSP's untill I started to hear good things on the Darts, what are some of your opnions on the darts? Would they be better than the TSP's with my cam?

I would personally keep going with the PRC heads. Both are good heads but I have seen a lot more good from the PRC's, than the Darts. No one has really been disappointed with them from what I have seen.

I would go with the darts. I know of Dart 225's with a valve job that out powered AFR 225's. They also dropped the compression 1.5 points and went to a smaller cam with the Darts.

205's are even better. You could run the 205's as cast on a stock cube motor and if you want to step in cubes later, send them off to be ported and have the best cathedral head out in my opinion.

Just options.

For A 346 I Dont See The Point.. You Can Get Goo Flow Out Of A Tsp\gm Head... I Know Pleanty Of Guys With Afr Heads That Arnt Makeing ***** Worth Of Power Over A Ported Gm Head

The Whole Argument They Try To Push Is Better Tq And Throttle Responce.. Im Sure There May Be Some Vality To Their Argument But With My 4000 Stall Ill Never Really Know...

Also If Yo Uneed More Just Spray....

I believe he is referring to the same person who I sent you information by PM. What I was saying that the Darts provide a foundation to build on if you don't want to go all out now.

Doesn't matter what they flow or what the velocity is or any of the other mumbo jumbo BS that we get fed on a daily basis.

They make more power, that is what matters.

I would have to agree. I really liked the Dart 205s I had on my 346 combo. They worked great with the cam I had and made excellent power. I would say spend a little extra do and go for the Darts.

Out the box milled 30 thou for compression increase. I made 452 rwhp and 423 rwtq. The car was only a partial bolt on car, and still retained the stock water pump and LS6 intake.

Dont Get Me Wrong Their Good Heads But Nearly All These Guys Say How They Can Get More Port Velocity Not Necessiarly Power..

Simply Put They Are Getting The Same Flow #'s With Smaller Runners... This Is A Good Thing No Doubt But For A Drag Car I Dont Know If Its Worth The Extra $$$$

Im Quite Happy With My 5.3l Heads And Ms3 Cam When I Get More $$ Ill Build A Better Shortblock And Spray More N20... In Most Cases Youll End Up With A Power Adder Anayway And In This Case The Extra 10 Hp Max You may Get Is Worthless

Its Tempting To Buy Every Dam Bolton You Can Afford But At The End Of The Day You Really Need To Coinsider Bang For Buck... No 346 With Any Heads Is Gonna Stang Up Against A Sprayed Ls1 Or A Built Shortblock The Point Here Is Build Your Stocker Reasonbly Fast And If Its Not Enough Buy A Better Bottom End And Go Big.. Spending 2-3k On The Best Heads When Ported Gm Heads Will Net You Similar Results Just Dosent Make Sence

To Me The Only Place For A High Budget Head Would Be In Either Some Sort Of Regulated Raceing Or When You Have Already Maxed Out Your Other Options (like Displacement) And No Stock Casting Will Fit The Bill

I'm a Dart bigot, the Dart 205 is a better head than the TSP 5.3. Contact Bret Bauer and be done with it.
